In response to COVID-19, a group of Chinese students across métiers at CalArts formed a performance ensemble since Mid Feb. We gathered together every Thursday night with prompted improvisation to distance, isolation, space, and overwhelming nostalgia for homeland and intimate contact.

The process came to a pause with a social distancing ritual on a mountain in Los Angeles as a celebration of the end of Wuhan's lockdown and a memorial for those who died in the pandemic. 

We hold space for families and for ourselves as a way to witness the incomprehensible experience we are going through.
